With the looming number of cyber attacks, President Obama has passed the Enhanced Cybersecurity Services program.?
While the President finished his State of the Union address just moments ago, earlier this same day Obama signed this program into existence. Mainly due to the length of time Congress was taking in dealing with cyber-security.?

Back in 2012, Congress voted on the?Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA) but was shot down. Despite being a win for Internet users, government still remained stagnant in protecting us from virtual attacks. In September, the White House began to draft an order to take action as soon as possible. Today the President has issued his executive order in dealing with increased attacks.?
According to the official document, the government will share with certain companies important information on identifying threats. This differs from CISPA in that the sharing and protection act would grant the government access to a large amount of your information that is currently private. Even though the bill hadn't passed, companies like Verizon, Microsoft and Facebook were already on board.?
The President placed an emphasis on technology during his speech. One thing mentioned were programs being introduced to teach children skills in computer programming and engineering. Another aspect dealt with hardware: noting Apple bringing its hardware production to the U.S. Apple CEO Tim Cook was in attendance at the event.
