CANNES, France (AP) ? A French-Cambodian film, "The Missing Picture," which explores the bloody history of Pol Pot's dictatorship in late 1970s Cambodia, has won the "Un Certain Regard" prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
To rousing applause, director Rithy Panh collected the award at a ceremony Saturday night, expressing his gratitude to be able "to have the freedom to do the films I want to do."
The "Un Certain Regard" accolade, presented one day before the Palme d'Or, is often seen to reward up-and-coming filmmakers and works that transmit original messages and aesthetics.
Panh's film, based on his nightmarish memoir "The Elimination," documents his own family's experience under the heavy-handed Communist Party's Khmer Rouge that resulted in the death of his parents and sisters.
With coach Rob Chudzinski and offensive coordinator Norv Turner installing a new system in Cleveland, Browns receiver Josh Gordon is excited.
Gordon, a speedy receiver who averaged 16.1 yards a catch as a rookie, says he expects to make even more big plays in his second season because the Browns? offense will be perfectly suited for his talents.
?Defenses will be shocked to say the least with how much we?re running down field,? Gordon told the Akron Beacon Journal. ?I?ve never ran this much as a wide receiver ever in my life, and that?s a good thing. And not just me, everyone from the slot guys to running backs, everyone?s got passing plays in the system.?
Last year Gordon didn?t have much time to get ready for the NFL after arriving in July in the supplemental draft, but he still managed to play in all 16 games, starting 13, and catch 50 passes while leading the Browns with 805 receiving yards and five touchdown catches. This year, being with the team from Day One and participating in Organized Team Activities, Gordon believes he?s going to be even better.
?You?re a head up on the game,? he said. ?For guys, veterans and rookies, to have all this leading up until [the fall], I was way behind the 8-ball coming into last year. Now it?s a huge advantage for me to learn the offense, get in shape, get in more of a rhythm with whatever you?re doing out there, so you don?t feel as stressed or as new to everything. It?s definitely slowed down a lot.?
Last year, Gordon had a good year despite missing most of the offseason and playing in a bad offense that wasn?t well suited to his skills. This year, Gordon has every reason to believe he?ll be even better.
There are many myths that surround mobile broadband dongle packages. Some of these myths do have a bit of truth in them, while some of them are pure fabrication. It is possible to get up to 50GB of data per month with many fixed-term broadband deals. Of course, there are other deals that only offer 500mb of data. You can also get PAYG broadband, where you are able to get as much data as you need by topping up your broadband.
Mobile Broadband Dongles have Slower Speeds
This myth is also true and untrue, depending on the technology. 3G mobile broadband does offer slower speeds than home broadband packages. However, 4G mobile broadband is able to offer speeds that compare to home broadband. Of course, the speed of your mobile broadband will be affected by the provider coverage and your location with respect to the mobile tower.
3G connections are able to get up to 21mb per second if the signal is excellent and the browser is fast. Generally, people are able to get around 7mb per second on a 3G connection, and this is well below the 14mb per second that ADSL users can get. 4G connections, however, offer speeds of up to 40mb per second. This surpasses ADSL connections but not fibre optic connections, which can reach speeds of up to 100mb.
Contract Lengths are Very Long
This myth is not actually true. While there are a number of providers that offer 24 month contracts, it is possible to get shorter contracts. In fact, you can even get PAYG broadband if you are seriously opposed to contracts of any length. The most common contracts for mobile broadband are 12 to 18 months.
The longer contracts are generally part of mobile broadband packages where you get something for free. If you are looking at an iPad deal, for example, then you will find a lot of 24 month contracts. The reason for this is that the provider needs to make back the cost of the free item over the contract length. The longer the contract length the lower the rates they can offer you, but you have to be careful with this: there are a lot of deals that have you paying more for the free item over the length of the contract than you would if you bought it outright.
Data Charges are Very High
This myth is true and untrue as well, depending on the charges you are looking at. There are a number of different data charges that you may have to pay. The first is the initial outlay for your base data allowance. This cost is generally less then you may think. The stiff competition in the market has forced providers to lower their rates to prevent losing business.
The second charge you may face is for exceeding your data allowance. These charges will vary depending on your provider. Most providers charge a set rate for every GB over your data allowance you have used. You may suffer further penalties if you constantly go over your allowance so you should check the small print of your contract for these penalties.
The last charge you may find yourself facing is when you use the broadband abroad. You may have to pay to get international roaming activated. The cost of using data in another country is also very high. If you go over your limit you may find yourself paying double, if not three times, the normal excess charges. It is for this reason that most people recommend not taking your broadband with you when you leave the country.
You Need a Dongle
This myth is also true and untrue, but this is dependent on technology. There are a number of devices that connect to mobile broadband without the use of a dongle. You can get computers that have built-in 3G modems, and tablets simply need the sim card for your mobile broadband.
If you are looking to not have a USB dongle but do not have one of these devices then you can look at MiFi. This is a type of dongle that does not actually connect to your computer. The MiFi dongle connects to the 3G network and then transmits a wireless signal that allows your devices to connect to the network.
Mobile Broadband is a Luxury
This myth is completely untrue. Mobile broadband can be cheaper than getting fixed line broadband. With fixed line broadband you have to consider line rental if you are getting an ADSL connection. If you are getting a fibre optic connection then the package will cost even more. With mobile broadband you do not have to worry about line rental and you could get rid of the phone service completely.
The contract that a mobile broadband offers can be very cheap if you take the time to shop around. You can also get PAYG mobile broadband, which allows you to only spend what you want to. All of these options make mobile broadband cheaper than traditional home broadband, and not a luxury.
Mobile Broadband is for Outdoor Use
This myth is untrue. It is actually amazing the number of people who think that mobile broadband is only for when you are out and about. The truth is that around 75% of all mobile broadband users connect to the internet within their homes on their mobile broadband connections. It is also possible to get a router that allows you to use mobile broadband in the same way as home broadband.
Hopefully, these myth-busters will help clarify many of the misconceptions around mobile broadband, dongles and connecting to the internet from anywhere.

AT&T's official GoPhone prepaid policy has always officially prevented network data access for iPhones (and other 4G devices except for BlackBerry), but a tipster reports that will change tomorrow. The new policy adds 4G HSPA+ and LTE support as well as Visual Voicemail access to the GoPhone package, with customers able to bring their own device or buy a new one at off-contract unsubsidized prices. According to the details, existing customers with iPhones will be automatically updated with network access on June 21st, however they'll be able to call in and make the switch manually before that. The new features work on the $65, $50 and $25 monthly plans, however the two lower priced options will require data packages to work. You can get a peek at the leaked terms after the break, although we'd wait for an official announcement before picking up your 4G-capable handset and requesting service.

PASCO ? Kentwood coach Mark Zender couldn't find fault with the way his team played. He didn't think they played poorly or that they cost themselves the game.
Instead, he simply thought his team, which won the 4A state championship a year ago, lost in a 1-0 coin-flip game against South Kitsap in Friday's Class 4A state semifinals at Gesa Stadium.
"I told the guys that it really wasn't a matter of us not playing well," Zender said. "It was just a ballgame either team could have won. A classic 1-0 game.
"They have a reason to hold their heads high."
After South Kitsap took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning on a sac fly from Cody Wolfe, Kentwood had a couple of chances to tie or take the lead.
The best opportunity came in the sixth inning. The Conquerors had two runners on with catcher Reese McGuire, a future first-round draft pick, at the plate. McGuire drew a walk that loaded the bases with two outs and brought up cleanup hitter Tanner Wessling.
But South Kitsap pitcher Michael Wood struck out Wessling and ended the threat. Wood pitched a complete game and had a four-inning stretch where he didn't allow a hit.
"He's done that the whole year," South Kitsap coach Marcus Logue said.
Kentwood had one more chance in the seventh inning. Connor Sims singled and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. Spencer Greene stepped to the plate with two outs and the tying run on second, but he struck out to end the game.
The Conquerors remained in the game because of pitcher Jordan Jones, a 6-foot-1 freshman who consistently worked out of jams. Jones pitched a complete game and scattered six hits while striking out seven.
"He's poised and beyond his years in terms of his mental approach and his ability to deal with adversity and the situation," Zender said. "We were playing this weekend to win the state championship, and we didn't have any reason to believe Jordan wasn't the guy to get us to that game."
Kentwood will play Kentridge at 1 p.m. Saturday, while South Kitsap will play Skyview at 7 p.m. for the Class 4A state title.
Skyview 10, Kentridge 0
Skyview pitcher Ian Hamilton didn't give Kentridge any wiggle room in Friday's other 4A state semifinal. He didn't give them much of anything, actually.
Hamilton struck out 10 as Skyview blasted past Kentridge in five innings.
Kentridge managed just two hits as Hamilton completely corralled the Chargers' attack.
Skyview did its real damage in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Storm entered the inning leading 3-0 but scored seven runs in that frame.
The game ended after five innings because of the mercy rule.
Zach Beatty and Travis McGuire were the only Kentridge players to collect hits.
